This little walnut board is perfect for those moments when you just need something simple.
A slice of bread with olive oil. A small snack in the afternoon. A quick cheese and cracker plate when a friend stops by. It’s sized for everyday use — not a big entertaining board, just a beautiful little piece to reach for again and again.
Each one is shaped, sanded, and finished by hand in my workshop. Walnut has a natural warmth and character, so the grain and color will vary slightly from board to board. That’s part of what makes each one unique.
Simple. Intentional. Well made.

Most of the pieces I make start the same way — with a vision, a board and my scroll saw.
I cut each one by hand, then shape and sand it until the edges feel right and the grain really starts to show. The walnut I’m currently working with is sourced locally here in southern Indiana, and I love seeing the character of each board come through as it’s finished.
Small boards like this are some of the most useful pieces in my kitchen, so I always enjoy making them.

Wash by hand with warm water and mild dish soap. Dry promptly with a towel and allow the board to air dry fully before storing.
Do not place in the dishwasher or leave soaking in water, as excessive moisture can damage natural wood.
To keep the wood looking its best, periodically refresh the surface with a food-safe board oil or conditioner.
Wood is a natural material and may respond to changes in humidity or moisture. With proper care, this piece will age beautifully and develop character over time.
