I crafted this wallet from the same rescued vintage pinwheel quilt as the other pieces in the collection. The warm, softly colored quilt blocks are different on the front and back, so there's beautiful detail on every side.

The zipper keeps your things together, and the striped cotton lining adds a cheerful surprise when you open it. The wristlet is lovely carried on its own and handy tucked into a larger tote.

About This Piece

I never get tired of seeing the different pinwheel blocks in this rescued vintage quilt. For this wristlet, I chose warm, softly striped pieces for the front and saved another charming section for the back.

I finished it with striped cotton lining and a eather wrist strap that clips onto the floral fabric tab. It’s a satisfying way to turn a beautiful quilt remnant into something useful again.

There will never be another one quite like this.
