For rainy afternoons, early bedtimes, and “just one more chapter.”
All the little things that make settling in with a good book even better are part of the fun for me—which is exactly how these corner bookmarks came to be.
Each one starts with a rescued quilted textile that I pair with a coordinating cotton to give it a whole new personality. It’s a simple little thing, but it’s pretty, useful, and keeps your place until you’re ready to come back.
Because I work with rescued materials, there’s only so much of each fabric to go around. I make them in small batches and let the original stitching, texture, and character become part of the finished piece.
Tuck one into your current read, Bible, journal, cookbook—or whatever happens to be living on your nightstand.
About This Piece
About This Piece
I’m always drawn to textiles that still have something left to give. A quilted piece may no longer serve its original purpose, but the fabric, stitching, and character can still be beautiful.
These corner bookmarks are one small way I give those materials another use. I pair rescued quilted textiles with new coordinating fabrics, combining something that already has a story with something new.
The result is a pretty, useful little piece made for the books you keep coming back to. 🤎

A Note from the Studio
A Note from the Studio
Because I work with rescued textiles, no two bookmarks will be exactly alike. Pattern placement, stitching, texture, and color may vary slightly from the photos.
Those little differences are part of what I love about working with materials that have already lived a little—and part of what makes the one you receive uniquely yours.
