I make these corner bookmarks from rescued quilted textiles and coordinating cotton, using scraps that are still far too good to throw away.

They slip right over the corner of your page, so there’s nothing sticking out of your book or falling out when you tuck it into your bag. Use one in your current read, Bible, journal, cookbook—or wherever you’d rather not lose your place.

I make them in small batches because there’s only so much of each rescued fabric to work with. I leave the original stitching, texture, and character right where I find it, so each batch is a little different.

About This Piece

I’m always drawn to textiles that still have something left to give. A quilted piece may no longer serve its original purpose, but the fabric, stitching, and character can still be beautiful.

These corner bookmarks are one small way I give those materials another use. I pair rescued quilted textiles with new coordinating fabrics, combining something that already has a story with something new.

The result is a pretty, useful little piece made for the books you keep coming back to. 🤎
