About This Piece

I fell in love with the colors and patterns in this vintage pinwheel quilt, and I knew there was still so much life left in it.

For this belt bag, I paired the cheerful quilted fabric with warm leather accents, antique-brass-tone hardware, and a comfortable adjustable strap. I love how the original quilting gives it texture and character, while the colorful stripes make it fun to carry.

What was once part of a beautiful quilt has a whole new story ahead of it. And because I'm working with rescued textiles, there won't be another bag quite like this one.
