I made these leather keychains to be simple, sturdy, and easy to grab on your way out the door. There’s a large split ring for your keys and a swivel clip that hooks onto your tote, bag, or belt loop—nothing complicated, simply useful.

Each one is made from genuine leather and antique brass hardware. Some are vegetable-tanned leather that I dyed here in the studio, some are left natural, and a couple of them are made from full-grain leather with the original raw edge left right where I found it. I could have trimmed those edges clean, but honestly, I liked them better this way.

You’ll see natural variations in the grain, texture, color, and markings from one to the next. That’s leather doing what leather does.

About This Piece

Each keychain is handcrafted in my studio using leather from my stash. Choose from vegetable-tanned leather that I’ve dyed by hand, natural vegetable-tanned leather, or full-grain chrome-tanned leather with the original raw edge left intact.

A Note from the Studio

I’m always drawn to making useful things from the materials already sitting on my worktable. These are uncomplicated on purpose: good leather, good hardware, and a simple design that does its job.

The raw-edge ones might be my favorites. I could have trimmed those edges clean, but honestly, I liked them better this way.
