Monstera Palms Botanical Market Tote

I found a pair of these quilted botanical pillow shams and knew they would make a great set. It already had the texture and stitching, so I kept those details and built it into a structured tote with a cotton duck lining and vegetable-tanned leather handles.

There’s plenty of room for the things you tend to carry along with you, whether you’re headed to the farmers market, library, or packing up for a beach vacation. It works just as well for a day of shopping and lunch as it does for carrying your book, sunglasses, sunscreen, and whatever else you need for the day. I also added a leather key keeper inside so your keys have their own spot instead of disappearing to the bottom of the bag.

I made a coordinating wristlet keychain and zipper pouch from the same textile, too. Choose the tote on its own, add either accessory, or keep the whole set together.

I was able to make just these three pieces from the pair of shams, and I love that they can stay together as a set if you’d like.
